On September 17, 2024, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the 8th India Water Week 2024 in New Delhi. Around 80% of India’s water is used in agriculture, while the rest is crucial for power generation, industries, and domestic use. Efficient water use is essential to meet everyone’s needs.

 In 2021, the Government of India launched the “Catch the Rain” campaign, encouraging water conservation and rainwater harvesting.
